Since the DMC’s are coming up and you need Ortofon’s to enter, I think it’s only right to blog about them. I want to know which ones you bought and why. There are heaps of different Concordes and OM’s out there and everyone seems to stick highly to their precious stylus. I bought these ones:

I basically got them because of the reviews I read and also the fact that they are the “Qbert” ones. I’m not gonna lie, the fact they had the ISP Logo and had Qbert’s name made them all that much more appealing.

I don’t feel ripped off by having them though. After 1.5 weeks of use- I think they smash these bastards:

So far, everything about them is wayyy better. Also for battles- Ortofon’s are the shit. Stickering your records is something which isn’t a time consuming pain the ass. The narrow and raised design of the cartridge doesn’t block you any access to the stylus allowing you to get your stickering right almost the first time, every time. None of that 10 attempts at getting it right shit, and losing the sticky surface of the sticker in the process. That was one thing that really pissed me off with the Shures. hahaha.

If you aren’t battling and looking at replacing your cartidges and needles, I’d seriously consider (if I were you anyway) saving some pennies and getting some Ortofon Cartridges and needles. They are seriously as good as I make them out to be.
