4tek Scratch Battle- Details Confirmed


What up peoples!

The details and format for the 4tek 4eva Scratch Battle has been confirmed. Shit looks really tight and if you entered Manchoo’s Scratch Battle back in 2006, its quite similar :)

DJ Device from the Capital Punishment Crew has emailed me the format details, so I can help get the word out and generate interest. The date for the battle still stands (as quoted on previous posts) and is happening on November 29th. Check this out:

4Tek 4eva Battle Format:

Elimination Round:

This round will determine where you’re placed for the head to head battle rounds e.g. 1st v 8th, 2nd v 7th, 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th.

Serato is available if preferred and for this round only.

Head to Head battle rounds:

The beats will change for each round. All beats will be chosen at random. You will be given a sample at random.

Quarter Finals:

Will be two rounds, 60 seconds for each competitor

Beats:

1st round= 100-110bpm
2nd round= 85-95bpm

Semi Finals:

Will be two rounds, 60 seconds for each competitor

Beats:

1st round= 70-80bpm
2nd round= 115-125bpm

FINALS:

Will be three rounds, 90 seconds for each competitor

Beats:

1st round= 70-125bpm
2nd round= 70-125bpm
3rd round= 70-125bpm

Equipment:

For your elimination set you will have two Technics 1200 turntables and a Vestax 07 mixer. Serato is available if preferred.

There will be needles provided but bring your own if you prefer.

For the head to head battle rounds you will have one Technics 1200 turntable and a Vestax mixer. Someone will be on stage setting up depending on which hand you scratch with.
