I haven’t heard from Impact, so hopefully I will have another update later on this afternoon!

What I can confirm are the results (top 3) of the 2008 DMC World Finals:

1st- DJ Fly (France)
2nd- DJ Slyce (USA)
3rd- DJ Co-Ma (Japan)

The homie Impact didn’t make the top 3. He was telling me how high the standard is over there to over here. I think he is going to come back being an absolute monster on the decks and will most likely help move the standard up over here. 2008 has been a cool year so far for us Turntablists here in NZ. The return of the DMCs, the Christchurch Scratch Battle and the 4tek Scratch Battle coming up in November has helped build up the interest that battles and turntablism used to have before it died off a bit a few years ago. He isn’t going to enter the 4tek battle this year which is a bit stink, but he might end up judging or else just end up being a spectator. I look forward to his return because jamming with him and “feeding” off the skills he will no doubt be bring back with him will be mean!

I don’t know if Impact qualified for the top 13, however I will keep you posted and let you know once I hear from him. I can’t give the guy enough props for stepping up to the DMC Challenge, he fully deserved his NZ title.
