So after making the post below, I tried to find out information about the Gong Battle which was meant to take place the same night.

After reasearching and finding absolutely nothing online about it, I thought I’d hit up P-Money on his blog and find out what went down.

What happened is that too many DJ’s pulled out and the battle was canned. How fucking gay is that? If anyone from Aussie reads up on here, can you shine some light on why they pulled out or something? I was fully looking forward to watching some mean footage of that battle.

I reckon the Gong battle is definitely the toughest battle in the world. Pleasing the judges without getting gonged seems like one hard mission to achieve. I’ve watched heaps on Youtube and even heaps of the mean DMC DJ’s have managed to get gonged. It is a hilarious battle at the same time though. Roc Raida is the man for coming up with the concept. It’s not the typical battle and there is an element of humour in it as well. More the saaaddd guy humour I think.
