DJ CXL Appreciation Post – Part 1
DJ CXL- Arguably the best turntablist in the country has been around for a fucking long time and deserves some appreciation. The guy has been an inspiration to a lot of us over the years as upcoming turntablists and we always looked at him as the leathal cunt who was able give every dude a solid run for their money in just about every DJ battle (every battle I’ve seen anyway).
For me his signature cut has always been his chirps. They are perfect and he never loses the rhythm when busting them out. The best example is the 2003 DMC World Finals routine of his. He made the top 12 and got on the DVD. Everyone has seen it (if you haven’t- then stop sleeping) but it’s worth posting anyway- Shit is tight!
DJ CXL – 2003 DMC World Finals:
His routines have always been the tight shit. Check out this practise set from 2006- If I am right, I think I recall this being one of his Boost Mobile Tour DJ routines. Check this out:
DJ CXL – Routine Practise:
Anyway, thats all for now. Keep an eye out for Part 2 of my DJ CXL Appreciation Post which will be up within the next few days. Stay Tuned!

CXL is the MAN!! I remeber my first battle back in 2002 and he was really helpful, I messed up my set on the night and yet he was still supportive afterwards which lead me to placing at another DJ Comp at BIG BOYS TOYS with Elchemy n Alps.
Turksta- this is a mean idea for the blog, will it contain other Veteran DJs also? Im still new on this site.
