R.I.P Rane’s TTM-56 & Welcome Rane’s TTM-56S
Thats right folks! Rane has officially discontinued the TTM-56 Mixer and have released the TTM-56S. The mixer is more aligned towards the “Gold Class” Rane TTM-57SL as far as looks are concerned. The mixer does the same shit, but has gone through a makeover and obtained a new look.
I would also like to point out the new power supply. Goodbye to the telephone RJ11 type power socket, and hello to our friend “the jug cord”.
Check it out!
I don’t know about you, but I like it.

My first mixer was a three channel Gemini with a built in sampler. I had no dj friends and hadn’t seen any dj video’s so had no idea what I was doing when I brought my initial set up. After seeing some video’s and meeting some over dj’s I realized I needed something more stripped back with a cross fader curve so I saved up for a vestax 05. Unfortunately I
Couldn’t find a picture of the Gemini on google, it was a bit of a beast.

Mine was the Vestax 05 MK2. DJ’s recommended me Vestax when I was first starting and I picked the 05 MK2 over the 06 Pro because it looked a lot bigger and Qbert has used it and come up with the design for it. So if Qbert used it, it must have been good right? hahaha

I look forward to the day when I can afford a flash mixer. My Stanton SK-6 is Rusty as, but grateful to my bro for hookin me up with an 05 Pro MK2. But my first ever mixer I bought was a NumarK D3000x or somethin from DJ outlet in Newmarket. Weak X-fader, bled on the first day, took it in 3 times to get the Xfader replaced before I figured that the damn thing was useless. Height wise it stood way above the decks too. Sold it after about 6 months back to DJ outlet who then moved to High St…then closed for good.

My first was a Numark DM950. When I first got it with my first battle record I thought I was cool cause I could fade my scratches using the crossfader. lol. Then I upgraded to a vestax07, then 05, then the 06 and now I use a 909.

My first mixer actually belonged to my cousin, it was an old arista 4 channel mixer, it was in pretty bad shape when I got it, the crossfader was stiff and broken and only the upfaders worked. Sometimes it would even switch off on me. A few months later I bought a very small Gemini 2 channel mixer……Ah the memories lol.

What up.. Props for coming by and checking out my blog.
It sounds like your mixer has a Crossfader Reverse switch which is set to on. This switch is also known as a “hamster switch”. It reverses the way the Crossfader works. EG: Crossfader to the right hand side, the left deck plays or vice versa.
Check out for a switch somewhere on your mixer, it should be clearly labelled. Failing that, Switch the input of the decks. Put the left turntable into the right inputs and the right turntable into the left inputs.
Let us know how you get on!
Props!
