NZ DMC 2009 Finals!!!!!
On Saturday (04/07/2009) was 5 weeks out from the NZ DMC 2009 Final.
How is everyone coming along with their routines? I’ve been practising quite a bit and working hard on improving last years set completely.
I’ve found learning juggle patterns to be difficult but I’m not cheating myself which is good. Learning the basics first for me is something I take a priority. I don’t use much of that European stuff as yet because I want to master the basic juggle patterns using rap beats (and stuff like that) first before switching it up. I’m not entering to win to be completely honest, I’m entering to better myself each and every time.
I find battles to be a great and useful tool for upskilling yourself in Turntablism. If you’re a new DJ who’s considering entering, I think you should! You will take a lot of valuable skills out of one battle home with you, so you can be better next time. If you lose (which I have every time) who cares- you have the balls to enter and using the battle to improve your skills is never a bad thing.
DJ Impact isn’t defending this year, he said he doesn’t have enough time to put something together to be comfortable. However Kase from Wellington (now living in Auckland) is entering again this year. Good to see an old cunt (sorry bro 
) come out of retirement to enter again.
Hope everyone’s sets are coming along nicely. I’m looking forward to the DMC’s again this year!!!

I wouldnt be too cocky if I were you, i remember watching your set at the DMCs last year and on youtube and it was average. Impact would murder you if he enters!
