Tonight sees the opening of the Canteen DJ School which is run by the homie DJ Spence.

A lot of us would have had something to do with Spence during his years at the DMC Store in Auckland City (before it was re-branded as Mix Foundation). He is now the program co-ordinator at the Canteen DJ School.

Tonight is the grand opening and will surely be a piece of NZ Turntablism History that you won’t want to miss. I’ve never seen a line up in one room for a jam and it’s all for charity (which is fuckin’ awesome!).

The Beat Junkies did this workshop once upon a time, and really held it down.

I recommend everyone have a watch of these because you might just learn something you didn’t know before! They really break everything down from A-Z to speak. I learnt some cool shit from these and I hope you do to.

Basically Qbert Skratch University is an online scratch school run by Qbert and his people at Thudrumble.

You have to pay for this service, but it isn’t very expensive if you want the to take part and learn. It will cost you $60 USD for a 3 month membership which will automatically renew at the end of each 3 month period.
