Last week my crew the Villains and I got the opportunity to open for the GZA (Wu-Tang) in Ohakune and Welli alongside local DJ’s D-Rail, Affiliate and a bunch of other dope local acts.

Had an awesome time on the road and it was cool to be able to kick it with GZA and DJ Mathematics and shoot a video clip in Welli for JB’s new song “WAR”. Cipha Sounds has uploaded Video Footage of that magical night of January 12, 2001- when Jay-Z rang Funkmaster Flex and took the whole crew up for a freestyle session. This has only ever been uploaded as Audio and a lot of it was radio recordings on shit quality tapes. Anyway, when this happened it was probably around the point where Roc-A-Fella were just taking over everything and the whole world was mad in love their shit. I know I certainly was. From 2000 – 2003 or 2004 was definitely the Roc-A-Fella era of Rap music (in my opinion).

In 2001, way before people documented every single move of every single person every single day for youtube, a crazy invasion happened. The good old days when people actually broke records and artist on the radio. Jay-Z called Funkmaster Flex and told him that he wanted to bring all his new artist up and Blackout on the radio. I had a bullshit camera with me that day, but I was in the room that everyone was rappin in, so I got all the visuals but all the audio was all acapella. I finally tracked down the audio from the radio and linked it with the video. This is one of many parts I will be putting up. This shit is crazy.

Anyway, enough of the talk, time for some videos:

Tyna has just put out another single featuring Hepaklypz of 4 Corners. Tyna in my opinion has always been consistent with putting out great music which is mean just about every time. Tyna I rate as the best MC in the country. He kills it just about every time. His musical talent is crazy, here is another perfect example of his talent.

DJ Babu’s Duck Season Volume 3 is released in the U.S on Tuesday the 28th Of October (Wednesday If You’re On Our End Of The World). As I’ve already posted here before, the tracklist looks really really mean!

I’m usually not one to preach about shit like this, but this time I will. Buy this shit and don’t bother Downloading it. Try and find some cash because it is definitely going to be worth the money and time to go to the CD Store and grabbing it. Supporting someone as ill and legendary as DJ Babu, means you are sure the money is going to a good cause. Did you spot the Dilated Peoples and Beat Junkies groupie??

This happened over the weekend which made that faggot from Oasis- Noel Gallagher have a wank off about Hova being the head act. What a piece of shit.

Anyway enough of my rant. This gig brings back full memories of Sydney when Sir-Vere, Myself, Molly & Jyeah went for the trip to see Jay-Z live in Concert. To date, it is the best concert I have ever been too. I never thought I’d ever have the chance to see my favourite rapper live in concert, so I spent my 21st Birthday Money on going to Sydney for the Concert.
