Check this interview out. I sometimes stop by and check out Inquiring Mind Magazine. It is an online Magazine which kicks ass. They have lots of dope content in there quite a lot and I think you should put it on a monthly check up list or something.

Anyway… I had a peep at the magazine and there is a mean interview in it with DJ Clark Kent. He talks about heaps of shit from Jigga, to Biggie and a whole heap of other shit. It’s really nice to read something from a dude who has been around for such a long time in the game.

Here is something I found here while Blog Surfing tonight. It is a dope video of Premier talking about Nas, Jay-Z and Lil’ Wayne.

The most interesting part is the one about Jay-Z, because of the rumoured beef between the 2 over the song which didn’t make the cut on American Gangsta. This Video certainly clears the air. All the purists are gonna be fucked off with Preem about his comments on Lil’ Weezy though.

Thats right folks. The Legendary DJ Z-Trip is playing 2 shows in New Zealand. The first one is January 15 at Zen in Auckland City, and the next one is at the Big Day Out the following day on January 16.

Props to whoever arranged the Zen show because the BDO Line Up is quite ass this year and I don’t want to pay to go. Tickets are only $30.00 + BF.

Metal Slugs- All I Could Hear

Metal Slugs is a Hamilton Colaboration consisting of Impact & Spell.

They got together the other week and formed this dope master piece of Turntable Orchestra and composed a dope instrumental with solely records and nothing else. I am hoping they do more stuff like this, it’s something we need I reckon.

DJ Impact - Australian IDA Quarter Final (VIDEO FOOTAGE!!!)

As we all know, Impact went to Aussie and smashed some of them Aussie cunts and wound up coming second to Perplex in the Australian IDA (ITF) Battle in Melbourne.

The Use Of Serato In DJ Battles - What Do You Think?

After the DJ battle in Wellington this weekend, I have been thinking about Serato and the use in a DJ battle.

In Wellington during the weekend you were allowed to use Serato. In the battle were also DJ’s who used records. The unfair advantage to the Serato users in the battle was Reletive Mode. DJ’s using records were prone to needles skipping and the likes. As we all know, if your shit skips then you get marked down on the points.

I think that it is cool to use Serato especially in the sense that you can make your own Custom battle routine. DJ’s in the DMC’s, IDA’s and other battles make custom 12″ records for their routines because they can’t use their Serato setup.

The only issue here is I think that if you are allowed to use Serato in a battle, then you should only be allowed to use it in Absolute Mode to make it fair all around to all the DJ’s involved. The only exemption here would be a DJ battle where everyone is using Serato.

I am in no way having a moan because I don’t have Serato, I’m just taking a look at the bigger picture of it’s place in future battles.
